Due to the predicted snow and hazardous conditions, all schools in District 128 will have an early dismissal at 12:30 PM tomorrow, Friday, March 3. Afternoon Preschool classes and all after-school activities will be canceled for tomorrow, Friday, March 3. Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff, and we have been monitoring the weather closely. Based on the latest forecast, it is in the best interest of everyone to release students and staff early. PowerPlay staff will be available to supervise those students at dismissal. We urge parents and guardians to make necessary arrangements for the early dismissal of their children. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your school's main office. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and contact you if any changes occur. Please continue to have plans in place if there is a need to switch to an e-learning day. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Chippewa Families, We very much appreciate everyone's understanding and support this morning when we had to close Chippewa due to a water main break in the neighborhood. Mr. Jasinski, from Palos Heights Public Works, called to confirm that we can reopen the building tomorrow. He also apologized for the inconvenience. As a courtesy, until the full main can be replaced, Mr. Jasinski is installing emergency valves that are intended to prevent a school closure should there be another break between now and the end of the school year. We are grateful for the village's partnership in resolving this issue as quickly as possible. We look forward to welcoming our Cheetahs back tomorrow! l
