PFA Executive Board Introduction

Cassie Facko, President 

Cassie and her family have lived in Palos Heights since 2012, and Cassie’s husband, Rich, graduated from District 128. She has four children who are currently all in the district.  She enjoys watching her kids play hockey and reading in her free time. She also loves volunteering for the PFA, Gigi’s Playhouse-Tinley Park, and her church.

Ann Glynn, Vice President

Ann and her husband, Garrett, and two children have lived in Palos Heights since 2015. Her son is a 5th-grade Navajo student; her daughter graduated from Independence Jr. High in 2023 and now attends Alan B. Shepard H.S. She is a communications consultant and has worked in public relations for over 25 years. In addition to the PFA, she volunteers for Pathlights, a social service organization for older adults, and the Navajo Hills Neighbors Association.

Christina Janda, Treasurer

Christina and her husband, John, have a long history with Palos Heights, which influenced their decision to move back to the area in 2014 to raise their daughters.  Their twin daughters, Izzy and Gabby, started 5th grade this year. Christina grew up in Palos Heights and graduated from Independence Jr. High in 1994. Her husband, John, also returned to Palos Heights after high school.  They have three dogs:  Haley, Cookie, and Chewie!

Britany Young, Secretary

Britany grew up in Palos Heights and is a graduate of District 128. After getting her Master’s Degree in School Counseling, she returned to work in the district at Independence Junior High School as a paraprofessional and cheerleading coach from 2005-2010. Following this, she dedicated five years of her career to the role of middle school counselor at Jack Hille Middle School. Britany and her husband, Joe, are the proud parents of two boys attending Chippewa. Parker is in 3rd grade, and Preston is in 2nd grade. She now enjoys volunteering her time and effort to support the district and the PFA.
