Due to the predicted snow and hazardous conditions, all schools in District 128 will have an early dismissal at 12:30 PM tomorrow, Friday, March 3. Afternoon Preschool classes and all after-school activities will be canceled for tomorrow, Friday, March 3. Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff, and we have been monitoring the weather closely. Based on the latest forecast, it is in the best interest of everyone to release students and staff early. PowerPlay staff will be available to supervise those students at dismissal. Additionally, all bus transportation services will be provided for students on their scheduled routes, and students will have lunch before dismissal. We urge parents and guardians to make necessary arrangements for the early dismissal of their children. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your school's main office. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and contact you if any changes occur. Hello District 128 families. Out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with the surrounding school districts, including Shepard High School, District 128 has decided to close all schools and offices tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Since the snow is projected to fall all day tomorrow, it is difficult to determine dismissal road conditions. Therefore, in the spirit of keeping all students and staff safe, District 128 will utilize an Emergency Snow Day and all classes, after school activities and meetings are canceled. We will add Friday, June 3, 2022 as an attendance day at the end of the school year. We anticipate our school buildings and offices to reopen Thursday, February 3.
