The new school year is almost here and while it will look different than that of a typical year, we will back in school and with our students! In early August, we will be working on building class rosters and sending that information home to our families as we do each August in preparation for the start of school.

In efforts to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff, this school year will look differently.

  • Students will remain in their homeroom while teachers move from class to class for each subject area
  • PE will be daily, but students will not change into gym uniforms
  • Students will not be assigned lockers, all items will be kept in their homerooms

In accordance with CDC and IDPH guidelines we are eliminating any shared materials in the classroom and foregoing locker assignments. Students will come to school each day with their belongings and go directly to their assigned homeroom; their backpacks, coats, lunches will stay by their desks. We have purchased athletic drawstring bags for all students to be kept in their classroom for any materials that can stay at school, all other materials will need to go home in your child's backpack each night.

An updated school supply list is attached to this email and also is accessible on our school website here. All items on this supply list are recommended by our teachers for all students, grades 6-8. Anything that cannot fit into the child's drawstring bag should stay home until directed by your child's teacher.

We are looking forward to the start of school on August 21!
