"Soaring to New Heights"
Home of the Eagles
Navajo School, located on Oak Park Avenue in the Navajo Hills subdivision of Palos Heights, provides instruction and programs to Grades 4 and 5. The school was dedicated in 1969 and served grades K-2 until 2003, when grade levels were switched with Chippewa School during a district reorganization and Grade 3 became part of the primary school program.
Students at Navajo School are instructed in a challenging course of study aligned to state standards and enjoy a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and programs. Band, intramural programs, community service, Navajo Network News, newspaper, book clubs, are just a few of the activities available to Navajo students. Students whose performance data indicate a need for differentiated instruction can benefit from Quest for gifted students, ELL for language learners, special education services for students with disabilities, and reading support for students struggling with reading skills.
The great Bald Eagle is our symbol of pride as we aspire to reach new heights of learning at Navajo school. Our colors are green and gold which we display proudly each month of the school year. We also dedicate a day each month to show our Eagle spirit in a variety of ways.

These are school supply items that students may purchase. The activity provides experience to students in running a concession stand, managing money, accounts and budgets. Any proceeds are used towards end of the year celebration activities.
SOAR club meets during lunch/recess and is only for 5th graders.
